Starting from the imperial city of Cusco with destination to the most imposing Inca citadel of the Inca Empire, we refer to Machu Picchu; we start with a tour of the beautiful valley until we arrive at the town of Ollantaytambo to take our train to our destination.

This great Inca citadel is also known as “Old Mountain”, it attracts the attention of all adventurers with its climbing to the top of the mountain. This place is also known in its native name “Quechua” – “Huayna Picchu” its path a bit scary due to the height and its stairs.

Day 1: Cusco – Machu Picchu

Our great day begins with picking you up from your hotel around 03:30 am to 04:00 am to move to Ollantaytambo where we will board our train to Aguas Calientes; the trip will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

At the town of Aguas Calientes our guide will be waiting for us to give directions to the bus station, where we will board the bus up for 35 minutes to the emblematic Machu Picchu, the archaeological park at 2250 meters above sea level

At the citadel of Machu Picchu, we will go through different controls, it is necessary to always carry original personal documents for those controls.

After passing the controls, we will start with the guided tour, which will last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, during this time we will be able to know different points that characterize Machu Picchu as a wonder of the world.

The main points we will visit are the following:

  • The main square
  • The urban sector
  • The circular tower
  • The solar clock
  • The temple of the three windows
  • The Inca cemetery

After our guided tour, the guide will give you the recommendations to move freely around the citadel of Machu Picchu for a couple of hours and know the most attractive places, where you can take pictures for memories as well as take a rest and appreciate the wonderful place you dreamed of.

The guide at all times will be available to provide you with any help; he will indicate the meeting point to finish the tour to move to Machu Picchu bus stop to  get down to  the village of Aguas Calientes.

THERE, you can also have a free time to visit the famous thermo-medicinal baths, the village of Aguas Calientes, and take a rest

At night, we will move to the train station before the indicated time to return to the town of Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting for you to head to your corresponding hotel in the city of Cusco, we will be arriving at approximately 10:30 pm
